Tour Itinerary

Experience two of Wisconsin's most beloved destinations on this unforgettable journey through scenic landscapes and charming waterfront communities. Door County, often called the "Cape Cod of the Midwest” is known for its picturesque shoreline, historic lighthouses, and quaint villages. The Wisconsin Dells, named for the dramatic sandstone cliffs carved by the Wisconsin River, offers a blend of natural wonders and exciting entertainment. Take in spectacular river scenery on a boat tour, explore unique geological formations, and enjoy a variety of attractions and shops. This tour combines the peaceful charm of Door County with the excitement and natural beauty of the Wisconsin Dells, creating the perfect Wisconsin getaway.


Day 1 – Your scenic Wisconsin adventure begins! 

Travel through Illinois, enjoying the opportunity to get acquainted with your fellow travelers and settle into the journey ahead. This evening, gather with the group for a memorable welcome dinner at an authentic Wisconsin Northwoods Supper Club - a beloved regional tradition known for its warm hospitality, relaxed atmosphere, and classic fare such as prime rib, steak, fresh fish, and signature Old Fashioned cocktails. After dinner, we’ll continue to our comfortable accommodations for a restful overnight stay. (D)


Day 2 – Lake Michigan Maritime Route & Door County

Today we will journey along the scenic Wisconsin shoreline of Lake Michigan, passing through charming lakeside villages while learning about the region’s rich maritime heritage. Our day includes a visit to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc, where fascinating exhibits bring Great Lakes history to life. By afternoon, we will enter beautiful Door County and continue to Sturgeon Bay, where we will check in to the comfortable Stone Harbor Resort for the next two nights. Located in the heart of Door County, this inviting waterfront property provides the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner in this picturesque lakeside community. (B)


Day 3 – History, Flavors, and Traditions of Door County 

Begin the day with a stop at Renard’s Cheese Factory – a true Wisconsin experience. Then explore the Door County Historical Museum built originally in 1939 housing unique collections from the spectacular "Seasons of Life" wildlife diorama to the beautifully restored vintage fire trucks in the Pioneer Fire Station. Stroll the charming shops and take in lunch at Founders Square in Sister Bay. This afternoon we will step aboard the classic Door County Trolley and prepare to be dazzled by the stunning landscapes that unfold before your eyes. You’ll be able to take unforgettable pictures from a 225 foot vantage point overlooking the islands. This evening, experience a classic Door County Fish Boil at Pelletier’s in the quaint village of Fish Creek - an unforgettable mix of flames, tradition, and delicious flavors. A must-do event in Door County! (B, D)


Day 4 – Discovering the Dells

This morning, we journey to the beloved Wisconsin Dells, nestled in the heart of the state and famous for its breathtaking sandstone formations carved by the Wisconsin River over thousands of years. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch prior to touring Lost Canyon, the longest and deepest land canyon in Wisconsin, aboard a traditional horse-drawn wagon. For over 70 years, visitors have enjoyed this scenic journey through towering sandstone walls and narrow passageways, some of which have remained untouched by direct sunlight for more than 50,000 years. This evening, enjoy dinner and entertainment at Sneaky Pete’s Wild West Dinner Show. This lively Broadway-style production pairs an all-you-can-eat feast with exciting entertainment. Day 5 - Dells River Cruise & Native American History 

This morning, embark on a narrated Upper Dells Boat Tour and experience the stunning scenery of the Wisconsin River from the water. Cruise through ancient channels carved by glaciers, surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs crowned with pine and birch forests, while watching for native Wisconsin wildlife along the shoreline. During the tour, enjoy two scenic shore landings. Wander through the enchanting rock formations of Witches Gulch and visit Stand Rock, home to the area's legendary dog-jumping performance and one of the Dells’ most recognizable landmarks. After cruising, enjoy free time to explore the historic downtown district, filled with vintage neon signs, unique shops, and the Dells’ famous candy and fudge stores. This afternoon, a stop at Parson’s Indian Trading Post Museum – the longest-running museum and gift shop in the Wisconsin Dells area that focuses on Native American art, artifacts, and cultural history. Our overnight and dinner will be in the Janesville, WI area. (B)


Day 6 – Homeward Bound & Wisconsin Memories 

Savor one last breakfast before the journey home. Along the way, enjoy lunch and share stories with your new travel family! (B)
