Cancellation Policy, PPP, and Trip Insurance
We offer two optional ways to help protect your travel plans: our Payment Protection Program (PPP) and Trip Insurance. They cover different things, and many travelers choose one or both depending on what peace of mind they want.
Standard Cancellation Policy (No PPP)
For all 3+ day tours:
- 90+ days before departure: Deposits are refundable
- 90 days before departure: Deposit becomes non-refundable
- 60–31 days before departure: 50% of all payments are non-refundable
- 30 days or less before departure:
100%
of all payments are non-refundable
Payment Protection Program (PPP)
What is PPP?
PPP is an optional program that allows you to cancel for any reason and receive a full refund of your Excite tour payments, as long as you cancel at least 24 hours prior to departure. PPP must be purchased within 10 days of making a deposit and is non-refundable.
What PPP covers
- Your non-refundable deposit
- All payments made toward your Excite Experiences' tour
- Cancellation for any reason up to 24 hours prior to departure
Important details
- PPP must be purchased within 10 days of placing your deposit
- PPP is non-refundable
- If the trip is within 24 hours of departure, all payments are non-refundable even with PPP
What PPP does not cover
PPP is not travel insurance and does not cover:
- Medical expenses
- Flight delays or airline cancellations outside of Excite Experiences
- Events or issues that occur during the trip

Yes. PPP and Trip Insurance cover different situations, and you may choose to purchase one or both.
- Choose PPP if you want the ability to cancel for any reason (up to 24 hours before departure) and receive a refund of your Excite payments.
- Choose Trip Insurance if you want coverage for covered events like medical issues, travel delays, missed connections, or baggage problems.
