Enjoy the Circle Journey on The Rocky Mountaineer: Featuring Vancouver, Kamloops, Jasper, Banff, & Lake Louise!
Day 1 (May 9) - Welcome to Vancouver!
Welcome to beautiful Vancouver, where sparkling waterfronts, snow-capped mountains, and vibrant neighborhoods come together to create one of Canada's most stunning cities. Upon arrival at the Vancouver airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to our hotel to settle in and relax after your travels. This afternoon and evening are yours to begin exploring this captivating city. Stroll along the harbor, browse charming shops, or simply soak in the energy and scenery of downtown Vancouver. Tonight, gather with your fellow travelers for a relaxed Welcome Dinner, where you'll toast to new friendships and the unforgettable adventure that lies ahead. (D)
Day 2 (May 10) - All Aboard the Rocky Mountaineer: Vancouver to Kamloops (Train Day)
This morning, transfer to the station and board the legendary Rocky Mountaineer in GoldLeaf Service, where you'll enjoy panoramic views from the bi-level glass-dome coach and exceptional onboard hospitality. As you travel from Vancouver to Kamloops, watch the scenery transform from the lush Fraser Valley to dramatic canyons and the rugged landscapes of British Columbia's interior. Highlights include Hell's Gate, the historic Cisco Crossing railroad bridges, and beautiful Kamloops Lake. This evening, settle into your hotel or enjoy time exploring Kamloops at your leisure. Day 3 (May 11) - Through the Canadian Rockies to Banff
This morning, reboard the Rocky Mountaineer in GoldLeaf Service and continue your journey east into the breathtaking Canadian Rockies. Travel through ranchlands, along sparkling lakes, and over dramatic mountain passes while enjoying exceptional views from your glass dome coach. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the impressive Stoney Creek Bridge, and the iconic Spiral Tunnels. By evening, arrive in beautiful Banff, nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, and settle into your hotel for the next chapter of your adventure. (B, L)
Day 4 (May 12) - A Day to Discover Banff
Enjoy breakfast at your Banff hotel before spending the day exactly as you wish. Relax and soak in the mountain scenery or choose from Banff’s many wonderful activities. Ride the gondola to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, browse the charming shops and galleries downtown, unwind at the historic Banff Upper Hot Springs, or take a scenic walk along the Bow River. However you choose to spend your day, Banff’s breathtaking beauty and relaxed pace make it a destination to savor. (B)
Day 5 (May 13) - Scenic Journey to, and overnight in, Lake Louise
Enjoy breakfast at your Banff accommodation before setting out on a breathtaking sightseeing transfer through the Canadian Rockies. Along the way, marvel at the engineering wonder of the Spiral Tunnels, admire the turquoise waters of Emerald Lake, and visit the natural rock bridge spanning the rushing Kicking Horse River. This afternoon, arrive at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, beautifully situated on the shores of one of the world's most stunning alpine lakes. Surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier, and emerald waters, this legendary retreat offers the perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of the Rockies. Enjoy the hotel's many amenities, including cultural programs, fitness classes, an indoor pool, and the opportunity to reserve a rejuvenating experience at the exclusive BASIN Glacial Waters spa. (B)
Day 6 (May 14) - Icefields Parkway Adventure in Banff to Jasper
After breakfast at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, set out on one of the world's most scenic drives along the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Journey through Banff and Jasper National Parks, with stops at beautiful Bow Lake, the mighty Athabasca Falls, and the breathtaking Columbia Icefield. Experience the thrill of riding aboard an Ice Explorer, a giant six-wheel-drive vehicle that takes you directly onto the ancient Athabasca Glacier, where you'll learn about its fascinating geology and history. Then, step out onto the Glacier Skywalk, a glass-floored platform suspended high above the Sunwapta Valley, offering unforgettable mountain views. Enjoy lunch at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre before continuing to Jasper. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening exploring this charming mountain town at your leisure. (B, L)
