Kaya—Hello and Welcome to Australia!


Day 1 & 2 (March 4-5)  - Your journey begins with a long-haul flight from Omaha to Melbourne, Australia’s cultural capital. These

first two days are dedicated to travel and rest, arriving refreshed and ready to start your adventure.


Day 3 (March 6)- Arrive into Melbourne and feel instantly swept up in a city alive with creativity, culture, and effortless charm. From colorful laneways and hidden cafés to elegant arcades, seaside strolls, and lush gardens, Melbourne invites you to explore at your own pace. Enjoy a guided city tour to ground yourself in the city and end the day with a welcome dinner with the group before resting in your beautiful and centrally located hotel for the night. (D)


Day 4 (March 7)- Enjoy a scenic escape to the Yarra Valley, where you’ll sip your way through renowned vineyards, including Yering Station, Punt Road, Rochford, and Domaine Chandon. Indulge in premium tastings, a two-course winery lunch with wine, and time to explore the charming village of Healesville. This relaxed, full-day experience blends beautiful landscapes, exceptional wines, and effortless enjoyment. Return to the city for an evening out exploring at your leisure! (B, L)


Day 5 (March 8)- After breakfast, board your private transfer to the airport and fly to Adelaide, the gateway to the West. Arrive in Adelaide and enjoy a seamless private transfer to your accommodation, where comfort and calm await. This charming city welcomes you with a relaxed pace, beautiful parklands, and a vibrant food and wine scene just waiting to be savored. Spend the evening exploring at your leisure! (B, L)


Day 6 (March 9)- Explore the scenic Adelaide Hills and the charming German village of Hahndorf on this relaxing half-day tour. Travel through rolling vineyards, lush bushland, and historic villages as you make your way to the Mt Lofty Summit for sweeping views across Adelaide to the coast. Visit local icons like the Bridgewater Mill and Beerenberg Farm Shop, then enjoy a beer tasting at the historic Hahndorf Inn. Return to Adelaide for dinner with the group. (B, D)


Day 7 (March 10)- Today is full of rest, relaxation, and time to explore Adelaide your way! Whether you want to hang out by the pool, shop local boutiques, view the botanical gardens, the day is yours to explore at your own pace! (B)


Day 8 (March 11)- After a wonderful breakfast in Adelaide, board The Ghan Train for an unforgettable 3 night, 4 day northbound journey through Australia’s rugged interior as we head for Darwin. Settle into your Gold Cabin, enjoy gourmet dining, and marvel at the changing desert landscapes as you journey toward the Red Centre. Along the way, savor chef-prepared meals and immersive off-train experiences, including the breathtaking beauty of Nitmiluk Gorge. This legendary journey blends rich history, striking scenery, and effortless comfort into a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. (B, L, D)


Day 9 (March 12)- Wake to the changing outback as The Ghan arrives in Port Augusta, gateway to the spectacular Flinders Ranges. Explore ancient red-rock landscapes shaped over millions of years, then visit historic Quorn for lunch paired with local Flinders Gin. Along the way, discover the haunting ruins of Kanyaka Station and the stories of those who once called this rugged landscape home. Rejoin The Ghan this evening with unforgettable views—and stories—to carry with you. (B,L,D)


Day 10 (March 13)- Wake to an unforgettable outback sunrise in remote Marla before continuing aboard The Ghan to Alice Springs. Choose from a variety of Off Train Experiences, from exploring local landmarks and desert wildlife to discovering Standley Chasm or Simpsons Gap, with an optional scenic helicopter flight for breathtaking views. Return to the train for dinner and a relaxing evening on board. (B,L,D)


Day 11 (March 14)-  Today we bid farewell to our Ghan Adventure. Disembark in gorgeous Darwin and explore it your way —from vibrant markets and waterfront strolls to botanical gardens and unique wildlife encounters. This evening, unwind with local dining or a sunset experience in this laid-back tropical city. (B) 


Day 12 (March 15)- After breakfast, enjoy a seamless private transfer to the airport before flying to Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a private transfer to your accommodation and time to unwind. Discover Cairns at your own pace, from the vibrant Esplanade to lush gardens and relaxed waterfront dining. (B)
