Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Seattle City Tour & Welcome Dinner
Arrive in Seattle, where mountains meet the sea. After checking into your hotel, set out with a local guide to discover the city’s highlights. Wander the bustling Pike Place Market, alive with flower stalls, artisan foods, and the famous fishmongers. Stroll through Pioneer Square, where Seattle’s history began, and then ascend the Space Needle for sweeping views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and—on a clear day—majestic Mount Rainier. The evening brings a Welcome Dinner where you’ll meet fellow travelers and begin the adventure in Excite’s signature style. (D)
Day 2 – Olympic National Park Wonders
Leave the city behind as you board a ferry across Puget Sound, a quintessential Northwest experience with views of snow-capped peaks and forested islands. Step into Olympic National Park, one of the most diverse parks in the country. Explore the Hoh Rainforest, where mosses and ferns drape ancient trees, creating an enchanting, otherworldly landscape. Later, walk along Ruby Beach, famous for its sea stacks, tidepools, and driftwood sculptures shaped by the ocean. Tonight, relax in the perfect base on the Olympic Peninsula. Enjoy dinner and cocktails with your friends before catching some shuteye before tomorrows big day! (B, L)
Day 3 – Mount St. Helens & Columbia River Gorge
Today is a journey through powerful landscapes. Visit Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, where the 1980 eruption reshaped forests and valleys. At the visitor center and scenic overlooks, you’ll see firsthand the resilience of nature as new growth thrives in the blast zone. Continue along the Columbia River Gorge, pausing at Multnomah Falls, a two-tiered cascade that tumbles dramatically into a misty pool. With viewpoints and photo stops along the Historic Columbia River Highway, the day is a blend of natures beauty and sheer unbridled power. Dinner is included at an amazing local restaurant in Portland. (B, D)
Day 4 – Portland & Willamette Winery Tasting
Wake up in the damp woodsy air of Portland, soaking in the views of forested ridges and sprawling mountains. Meet your guide for a guided city tour highlighting the eclectic neighborhoods, beautiful International Rose Test Garden, and lively downtown core. After exploring Portland’s creative spirit, head into the nearby Willamette Valley to visit a boutique winery, have a beautiful lunch and a tasting of world-class Pinot Noir surrounded by rolling vineyard views. Dinner is on your own tonight to enjoy with friends in Portland! (B, L
Day 5 – Crater Lake National Park
Today brings one of the trip’s most breathtaking highlights—Crater Lake National Park. Formed by a collapsed volcano, the lake’s sapphire waters are among the clearest on earth. Travel along Rim Drive, where every curve reveals a new perspective of the lake’s striking blue and the surrounding cliffs. Learn about the geological story that shaped this wonder, then enjoy time to simply stand in silence and take in its grandeur. This evening, relax at your southern Oregon accommodations after a day of pure natural wonder. (B, D)
Day 6 – Into the Redwoods
Cross into Northern California to explore Redwood National and State Parks. Walk among towering giants, some soaring over 300 feet tall and more than 2,000 years old. Gentle trails invite you to experience the hush of these ancient groves, where shafts of sunlight filter through canopies high above. Along the way, discover how these forests are preserved and why they inspire such reverence. Tonight, stay in the area, surrounded by the quiet power of the Redwoods. (B)
Day 7 – Oregon Coast & Farewell in Portland
Trace the Oregon Coast northward, where the Pacific pounds against rugged cliffs and picturesque towns line the shoreline. Stop at Cannon Beach, home to the iconic Haystack Rock, and enjoy time to stroll the beach or browse local shops. You’ll experience the rush of a dune buggy ride along the beach! By evening, return to Portland, where a festive Farewell Dinner with new friends provides the perfect close to your Pacific Northwest journey. (B, D)
Day 8 – Homeward Bound
Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to the airport. Carry with you memories of rainforests, volcanoes, crater lakes, and redwoods—an adventure that blended natural wonder with Excite’s signature care and connection. (B)"
