Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Depart for Portugal

Your journey begins as you board an overnight flight to Lisbon. Relax and prepare to experience the beauty of Europe’s Atlantic and North Sea coasts.


Day 2 – Lisbon, Portugal

Arrive in Portugal’s luminous capital, where history and modern life meet along the Tagus River. After checking into your hotel, explore Lisbon’s cobblestone streets, admire azulejo tiles, and hear the sounds of fado drifting from cafés. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner and live fado performance. (D)


Day 3 – Lisbon Touring and Embarkation

After breakfast, visit Jerónimos Monastery, the Tower of Belém, and São Jorge Castle. Enjoy free time for lunch before transferring to the port to board the Azamara Journey. Settle into your stateroom and join your group for a festive sail-away dinner as your voyage begins. (B, D)


Day 4 – Porto (Leixões), Portugal

Journey north to Porto, where colorful lanes line the Douro River. Visit the Ribeira district and cross to Vila Nova de Gaia for a port wine tasting with stunning views. Enjoy time to shop, explore, or relax before returning to the ship. (B, L, D)


Day 5 – Ferrol, Spain

Arrive in Galicia, a region of fishing villages and dramatic coastline. Explore Ferrol’s naval history or drive along the rugged Atlantic shore. Sample fresh seafood or the region’s famous octopus paired with Albariño wine. (B, L, D)


Day 6 – At Sea

Spend a relaxing day aboard the boutique Azamara Journey. Attend a history lecture, join a cooking class, visit the spa, or unwind on deck. Enjoy sunset cocktails followed by a fine dining experience. (B, L, D)


Day 7 – Saint-Malo, France

Dock in this walled city known for its seafaring past and scenic ramparts. Explore shops and cafés within the old walls, or opt for an excursion to Mont-Saint-Michel, France’s legendary abbey rising from the tides. (B, L, D)


Day 8 – Honfleur, France

Enjoy a leisurely day in charming Honfleur, where half-timbered houses frame the harbor that inspired generations of painters. Visit Sainte-Catherine’s Church, explore local galleries, or sample Normandy cider and fresh mussels along the quay. (B, L, D)


Day 9 – Dover (London), England

See the White Cliffs of Dover, then choose between local touring or an optional full-day excursion to London. Highlights include Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, and Westminster. Return this evening to rejoin your ship. (B, L, D)


Day 10 – Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

Travel to Bruges, a perfectly preserved medieval city of canals, gabled houses, and cobblestone lanes. Cruise the canals, climb the Belfry Tower, or shop for lace and chocolates before sampling Belgian beer. (B, L, D)


Day 11 – Ijmuiden (Amsterdam), Netherlands

Celebrate Independence Day in the Netherlands’ most artistic city. Cruise Amsterdam’s canals, visit the Van Gogh Museum, or explore the Rijksmuseum before returning for a festive evening onboard. (B, L, D)


Day 12 – Hamburg, Germany

Arrive in Hamburg, a vibrant port blending history and innovation. Tour the historic Speicherstadt district, admire the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, and enjoy free time to dine and explore. (B, L, D)


Day 13 – Hamburg, Germany

A full day to explore more of Hamburg or take an excursion to Lübeck, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its Gothic architecture and marzipan. (B, L, D)


Day 14 – Kiel Canal Transit

Cruise through the 61-mile Kiel Canal, a scenic passage connecting the North Sea to the Baltic. Watch rolling fields and quaint villages drift by as you relax onboard. (B, L, D)


Day 15 – Fredericia, Denmark

Step ashore in historic Fredericia, founded as a fortress in the 1600s. Walk the preserved ramparts or visit Odense, birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. Experience Danish charm and hospitality. (B, L, D)


Day 16 – Copenhagen, Denmark

Disembark in Denmark’s capital, a city of royal palaces, canals, and colorful harborfronts. See the Little Mermaid, stroll Nyhavn, and visit Amalienborg Palace. This evening, gather for a farewell dinner and reflect on your unforgettable journey. (B, D)


Day 17 – Return Home
