Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – April 22 | Overnight Flight
Begin an unforgettable journey through Southeast Asia, a region shaped by ancient traditions, vibrant cities, and welcoming cultures. Depart for Vietnam, where lush landscapes and centuries of history set the stage for the adventure ahead.
Day 2 – April 23 | Hanoi, Vietnam
Arrive in Hanoi, Vietnam’s dynamic capital known for French colonial architecture, leafy boulevards, and lively street life. With varying arrival times, no group activities are scheduled today. Enjoy time to rest or explore independently.
Day 3 – April 24 | Hanoi
Discover Hanoi’s highlights with a guided city tour and walk through the Old Quarter. Visit Ba Dinh Square and the Temple of Literature, then sample local favorites like pho and banh mi on a walking food tour. Enjoy coffee overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake before gathering for a welcome dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 4 – April 25 | Hanoi
Join locals for optional morning tai chi, then visit Hoa Lo Prison, now a museum sharing Vietnam’s history. Sit down with a local Vietnam War veteran for personal conversation. The afternoon is free, with an optional water puppet show and dinner available. (B)
Day 5 – April 26 | Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
Travel to Ha Long Bay and board a traditional junk boat for an overnight cruise. Sail past limestone karsts, fishing villages, and emerald waters. Explore caves and scenic viewpoints before relaxing onboard overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 6 – April 27 | Ha Long Bay to Hoi An
Begin with sunrise tai chi on deck, then visit Sung Sot Cave. Return to shore and fly south to Da Nang, continuing to UNESCO-listed Hoi An, a beautifully preserved trading port. (B)
Day 7 – April 28 | Hoi An
Tour Hoi An’s Ancient Town, including the Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, and local market. Learn about the region’s tailoring heritage, then enjoy free time before a group dinner. (B, D)
Day 8 – April 29 | Hoi An
Cruise the Co Co River by basket boat and take part in a hands-on cooking class, preparing traditional dishes for lunch. Craft a Vietnamese lantern, then enjoy a free afternoon and evening. (B, L)
Day 9 – April 30 | Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Tour key landmarks including the Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Reunification Palace, and Old Market. (B)
Day 10 – May 1 | Mekong Delta
Explore the Mekong Delta by boat, visit a coconut candy workshop, and enjoy a regional lunch. Return to the city with an optional evening Vespa tour showcasing Saigon’s nightlife and street food. (B, L)
Day 11 – May 2 | Ho Chi Minh City
Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network from the Vietnam War. Enjoy a free afternoon before dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 12 – May 3 | Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap, Cambodia
Fly to Siem Reap, gateway to Angkor. Enjoy dinner with a traditional Khmer dance performance. (B, D)
Day 13 – May 4 | Angkor Temples
Watch sunrise at Angkor Wat, then explore Ta Prohm and Angkor Thom, including Bayon and the Terrace of the Leper King. (B)
Day 14 – May 5 | Siem Reap
Visit APOPO’s HeroRAT program, then explore Preah Dak village, a palm sugar market, and Les Chantiers Ecoles artisan workshops. Optional evening at Phare Cambodian Circus. (B, L)
Day 15 – May 6 | Siem Reap to Luang Prabang, Laos
Visit Kompong Khleang floating village, then fly to Luang Prabang. Explore the night market filled with local crafts and food. (B)
Day 16 – May 7 | Luang Prabang
Tour the Royal Palace Museum and Wat Xieng Thong, cruise to the Pak Ou Caves, and enjoy a home-hosted dinner with a traditional Baci ceremony. (B, L, D)
Day 17 – May 8 | Luang Prabang
Visit a Hmong hill tribe village, then hike through jungle scenery to Kuang Si Waterfall. Lunch included. (B, L)
