Level 3 – Moderate This tour includes a mix of city walking tours, historic sites, and scenic drives. Expect moderate walking on cobblestone streets, museum visits, and guided tours with some standing. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, and while the pace is steady, the rich experiences make every step worthwhile.


Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Vermont

Arrive in Burlington, Vermont, where the charm of New England greets you at every turn. After checking into your hotel, gather with your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner, the perfect start to a journey filled with autumn color, cozy towns, and unforgettable scenery. (D)


Day 2 – Burlington to Portland

Breathe in the crisp autumn air as you tour Burlington, rich in Revolutionary War history and nestled along scenic Lake Champlain. Then, indulge your sweet tooth with a stop at the Ben & Jerry’s Factory—where the ice cream is just as unforgettable as the fall foliage on the drive east. This afternoon, travel through winding roads ablaze with color on your way to Portland, Maine, where your downtown hotel puts you steps from shops, seafood, and ocean views. Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own, perhaps fresh lobster by the harbor. (B)


Day 3 – Portland & Lobster Fishing

After breakfast, set out along the breathtaking Kancamagus Highway, famed for its mountain vistas, winding rivers, and brilliant foliage in season. Arrive in Portland, Maine, where the highlight of the day awaits—an unforgettable lobster fishing cruise. Then it’s on to Salem, Massachusetts, where you’ll enjoy lunch with the group before delving into the city’s storied past with a tour and visit to the Witch Trials Museum. Day 5 – Historic Boston

Wake up in Boston, a city steeped in American history. Today’s guided tour takes you to landmarks like the Old South Meeting House, Boston Public Gardens, Old North Church, and Beacon Hill, while bringing the story of Paul Revere to life. Day 6 – Boston Tea Party & Newport Mansions

Step back to 1773 Boston at the Boston Tea Party Museum, where you’ll relive the night that changed history with Samuel Adams as your guide. Day 7 – New York City Highlights

Today is all about New York City! Visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, then pay your respects at the moving 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Day 8 – Farewell to New York

Enjoy a leisurely morning in the Theater District, with time to catch a few final sights or simply soak in the city’s energy. This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight home—taking with you memories of one of the most unforgettable journeys you’ve ever experienced. (B)
