Pause at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to witness the solemn Changing of the Guard, a tribute that leaves a lasting impression. Then, visit the powerful Marine Corps Memorial, a symbol of courage and sacrifice. Day 3 – The Pentagon, Remembrance, and an Evening at Mount Vernon

This morning offers a rare and fascinating experience—a guided tour of the Pentagon, the world’s largest office building and the nerve center of the U.S. Department of Defense. With over 6.5 million square feet, this is a unique opportunity to explore a place few Americans ever see. Afterward, pause for reflection at the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, where the lives lost aboard Flight 77 and within the building are honored in a quiet, powerful tribute. In the afternoon, step back into the 18th century with a visit to Mount Vernon, the beloved estate of George Washington. Wander the immaculate gardens and grand rooms during a guided tour, learning about the man behind the monument. As the sun begins to set, enjoy a peaceful sightseeing cruise along the Potomac, where fall colors and river views set a stunning backdrop. This unforgettable day ends with dinner on the Washington Estate, a fittingly elegant close to a day rich in history and heart. (B, D)
