There are many tours to Europe, but nothing like this one of a kind experience!

CHRISTKINDLMARKT...Literally means Christ Child Market or spirit of Christmas. These street markets originated in Germany around 1310 during the Advent season to celebrate Christmas. They have spread worldwide since their origin, but people agree the most spectacular markets are still in Europe!

Day 1 - Saturday, November 27

Today is your first day on an amazing adventure to Western Europe! Meet your group at Eppley Airport in Omaha for your flight to Brussels (we can also book your flight from another city). Enjoy your overnight flight as your magical Christmas journey begins.

Day 2 - Sunday, November 28

Pass through customs and into your first European city! You are going to love your hotels on this tour! Check into your hotel located in the center of Brussels! Once settled in there is no time to rest. The Brussels Christmas Market is your first to explore this afternoon! Then, join the group for an amazing Welcome dinner to get to know your fellow travelers! It's a spectacularly festive way to end your first day in Europe! (D)

Day 3-Monday, November 29

This morning you'll venture just outside Brussels to Lindamen's Brewery. Here you will experience a tour and tasting of Belgian lambic beer. This beer is brewed much differently than any other beer and aged, in some cases, for over 3 years! After the brewery, head to Bruge for an amazing Christmas Market! The market is called Winter Glow and the whole city is full of lights and decorations. The market and other activities make this a magical city! Enjoy time exploring the market before heading back to Brussels. This evening you can explore on your own or you can take an optional food tour, tasting delicious eats drinks from around the city! Day 4 - Tuesday, November 30

Enjoy an amazing breakfast at your hotel and then take a short drive east to Val Dieu Abbey! The Cistercian Abbey « Notre Dame du Val-Dieu » was founded in 1216 by monks in a land known as "the valley of the devil" which they renamed "the valley of God". This beer style was brewed by monks in order to help purify water to drink. The tour of the abbey is absolutely stunning and you'll finish with a beer tasting! This evening you will arrive in Cologne! Once settled in you have an optional "Cologne Walking Brewery Tour" or you can grab a bite to eat and view the Cologne Christmas market! (B)

Day 5 - Wednesday, December 1

Today's trek is along the gorgeous Mosel River Valley. In the most romantic part of the Mosel Valley, where the river curves between two hiking paradises - Eifel and Hunsrück - lies old towns like Cochem. It's a sight worth seeing because of its narrow streets and twisty alleys, the lovingly restored half timbered houses and views of the river! Then, you're off to an absolutely fantastic winery tour at Dr. Loosen! Known for their Riesling, you'll meet the sommelier and hear all about their aging process and how to best taste all of the amazing flavors of their wine. Your lunch is part of the wine tasting experience! This afternoon visit the Christmas Market in Bernkastel before heading to Trier France! (B, L)

Day 6 - Thursday, Dec 2

You'll cross a tiny country off your bucket list as you travel to Luxembourg! Visit Luxembourg City, famed for its fortified medieval old town perched on sheer cliffs. Stroll their Christmas Market and maybe enjoy a piece of their famous meat pie, Judd mat Gaardebounen! Then, head back to Trier. You'll also have time to explore the Christmas market here! Your guide will have a few great suggestions for dinner! (B)

Day 7 - Friday, Dec 3

Another exciting European day is ahead with a visit to Metz, situated at the confluence of the Moselle and Seille rivers, this 3000 year old city is alive with a vibrant culture, stunning architecture and amazing food! Explore the city and the market before an afternoon in Strasbourg. Start your visit at the gothic cathedral and then explore all the magic of Christmas in the city. This unique market has so much to offer and is set against the backdrop of the cathedral. Tonight, you'll arrive in Basel! (B)

Day 8 - Saturday, Dec 4

Head to Montbeliard. This French town hosts one of the most stunning Christmas markets in Europe. The success of the market is partly due to a spectacular illumination design of the old town’s streets. This afternoon, experience a chocolatier tour! Get to know this mouthwatering treat with an expert in the field, smelling and tasting your way through the tour! This evening, head back to Basel! Grab a bite to eat at one of the amazing restaurants next to your hotel, visit the Christmas Market or enjoy a cocktail at a local pub! (B, L)
