Level 4 - Active This tour includes longer travel days, walking tours, and time outdoors exploring National Parks and natural sites. Expect uneven terrain, stairs, and periods of standing. Participants should be comfortable with moderate hiking, scenic overlooks, and more active excursions. A good level of mobility and stamina will ensure you fully enjoy this adventure.


Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Friday, December 25: Overnight Flight

Depart on an overnight flight to Buenos Aires, the gateway to your Antarctic adventure.


Day 2 – Saturday, December 26: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Arrive in Buenos Aires, known for its European-style architecture, tango culture, and vibrant neighborhoods along the Río de la Plata. Enjoy the day at leisure to rest or explore independently. No group activities are scheduled today.


Day 3 – Sunday, December 27: Fly to Ushuaia · Embark Ship

Fly over Patagonia to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, framed by dramatic mountains. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Tierra del Fuego National Park, showcasing glaciers, lakes, forests, and waterfalls. In the afternoon, embark your expedition ship for the nine-night Antarctic cruise. Day 4 – Monday, December 28: Drake Passage

Begin sailing through the legendary Drake Passage, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans converge. This region is rich in marine life, and sightings of whales and seabirds are common. (B, L, D)


Day 5 – Tuesday, December 29: Drake Passage to Antarctica

Continue crossing the Drake Passage. As you approach Antarctica, the icy peaks of the South Shetland Islands rise into view, marking your arrival at the White Continent. (B, L, D)


Day 6 – Wednesday, December 30: South Shetland Islands

Explore the South Shetland Islands, home to rugged landscapes, abundant wildlife, and historic exploration sites. Depending on conditions, possible landings include Elephant Island, Deception Island, Half Moon Island, Yankee Harbor, Point Wild, or Barrientos Island with its gentoo penguin rookeries. (B, L, D)


Day 7 – Thursday, December 31: Antarctica

Discover Antarctica’s vast, ice-covered wilderness. With a flexible schedule, your captain and expedition team navigate ice floes and weather conditions to maximize shore landings and Zodiac excursions. (B, L, D)


Day 8 – Friday, January 1: Antarctica

Continue exploring Antarctic waters, with potential landings at locations such as Brown Bluff, Cierva Cove, Hidden Bay, Beak Island, and other remarkable sites. Each landing offers unique scenery, from towering glaciers to stark mountain peaks. (B, L, D)


Day 9 – Saturday, January 2: Antarctica

Enjoy another day of exploration with Zodiac safaris, wildlife viewing, and shoreline hikes near penguin colonies. Weather permitting, participate in the optional polar plunge, a memorable highlight for adventurous travelers. (B, L, D)


Day 10 – Sunday, January 3: Drake Passage

Begin the return journey to Ushuaia, sailing north through the Drake Passage. Keep watch for seabirds and marine life as Antarctica fades into the distance. (B, L, D)


Day 11 – Monday, January 4: Drake Passage

A final day at sea offers time to relax onboard, attend presentations, and reflect on the extraordinary landscapes and wildlife experienced. (B, L, D)


Day 12 – Tuesday, January 5: Ushuaia · Fly to Buenos Aires · Tour Ends

Disembark in Ushuaia after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires before continuing home. (B)
