Level 4: You’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. Expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. This level is not a fit for travelers who require mobility assistance devices.


Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Monday, October 19: Overnight Flight

Begin your journey to Africa, where sprawling grasslands and cultural traditions meet. In the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro, prepare for encounters with giraffes, elephants, lions, and more as you fly overnight to Nairobi.


Day 2 – Tuesday, October 20: Nairobi, Kenya

Arrive in Nairobi, gateway to East Africa’s wildlife. No group activities planned today. Dinner on your own.


Day 3 – Wednesday, October 21: Nairobi

Visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see rescued elephants, followed by lunch at Karen Blixen’s farmhouse. Feed Rothschild giraffes at the sanctuary and tour the Kazuri Beads Factory. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner. (B, L, D)


Day 4 – Thursday, October 22: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Travel to Amboseli, set against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Visit a Masai village before settling into your tented camp for two nights. (B, L, D)


Day 5 – Friday, October 23: Amboseli National Park

Spend the day on safari in Amboseli, seeking Africa’s “Big 5.” Enjoy a picnic lunch on the open plains. (B, L, D)


Day 6 – Saturday, October 24: Amboseli to Karatu, Tanzania

Cross into Tanzania. Visit Shanga, a workshop supporting artisans with disabilities. Continue to Karatu for an overnight stay in a welcoming lodge. (B, L, D)


Day 7 – Sunday, October 25: Ngorongoro Crater

Full-day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, home to one of the densest wildlife populations in the world. Picnic lunch in the highlands. Return to Karatu. (B, L, D)


Day 8 – Monday, October 26: Karatu to Serengeti

Journey to the Serengeti, meaning “endless plains.” After lunch, enjoy your first game drive before settling into your safari camp for three nights. (B, L, D)


Day 9 – Tuesday, October 27: Serengeti

A full-day safari across the Serengeti with a picnic lunch. (B, L, D)


Day 10 – Wednesday, October 28: Serengeti

Continue your Serengeti adventure on a full-day game drive, spotting lions, cheetahs, hippos, and more. (B, L, D)


Day 11 – Thursday, October 29: Serengeti to Lake Eyasi

Travel to Lake Eyasi, stopping for a picnic along the way. Explore the salt lake, home to flamingos and hippos. (B, L, D)


Day 12 – Friday, October 30: Lake Eyasi

Spend the day with local communities. Visit the Hadzabe tribe, traditional hunter-gatherers, and the Datoga tribe, skilled farmers and artisans. (B, L, D)


Day 13 – Saturday, October 31: Lake Eyasi to Tarangire National Park

Choose a cultural visit with a fruit vendor in Mto Wa Mbu or time with artisans at African Galleria. Continue to Tarangire National Park, known for elephant herds and baobab trees. Afternoon game drive. (B, L, D)


Day 14 – Sunday, November 1: Tarangire National Park

Full-day safari in Tarangire. Look for elephants, lions, and over 500 bird species. Celebrate with a farewell dinner. (B, L, D)


Day 15 – Monday, November 2: Arusha – Tour Ends

Return to Arusha, relax in a dayroom, then transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B, L)
