Level 4: You’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. Expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. This level is not a fit for travelers who require mobility assistance devices.


Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Overnight Flight

Your journey to Africa begins. Fly toward a land of sweeping savannas, iconic wildlife, and deep-rooted traditions. From Kenya’s grasslands to Tanzania’s legendary parks, the adventure ahead brings the Africa you’ve always imagined.


Day 2 – Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya

Arrive in Nairobi, the gateway to East Africa’s wildlife and culture. With varied arrival times, today is at leisure to rest and settle in. Dinner is on your own.


Day 3 – Nairobi

Visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see orphaned elephants cared for by their keepers. Continue to Karen Blixen’s Out of Africa farmhouse for lunch, then meet Rothschild giraffes at the nearby sanctuary. Stop at the Kazuri Beads Factory, supporting local women artisans. This evening, gather for a welcome dinner to officially begin your safari. (B, L, D)


Day 4 – Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Travel south to Amboseli National Park, set beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch, visit a Maasai village to learn about local traditions. Settle into a comfortable tented camp for a two-night stay. (B, L, D)


Day 5 – Amboseli National Park

Enjoy a full day game drive in Amboseli, home to elephants, lions, zebras, and more. Keep watch for the famed Big Five as you picnic on the plains surrounded by wildlife. (B, L, D)


Day 6 – Amboseli to Karatu, Tanzania

Cross into Tanzania and visit Shanga, a social enterprise empowering artisans with disabilities. Continue to Karatu, your base near the Ngorongoro Highlands, and settle into a welcoming lodge. (B, L, D)


Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day safari. This UNESCO World Heritage Site holds one of the densest wildlife populations in Africa. Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in this extraordinary natural amphitheater. (B, L, D)


Day 8 – Karatu to Serengeti

Travel into the Serengeti, meaning “endless plains.” After lunch, set out on your first game drive in this world-famous park. Spend the next three nights in an intimate safari camp. (B, L, D)


Days 9 & 10 – Serengeti National Park

Two full days of safari exploration. With expert guides, search for lions, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, and vast herds roaming the plains. Picnic lunches keep you immersed in the landscape. (B, L, D)


Day 11 – Serengeti to Lake Eyasi

Journey to Lake Eyasi, stopping for a picnic along the way. Explore the lakeshore and watch for flamingos, hippos, and birdlife against a dramatic backdrop. (B, L, D)


Day 12 – Lake Eyasi

Spend the morning with the Hadzabe tribe, learning about their hunter-gatherer way of life. After lunch, visit the Datoga tribe to see traditional farming and craftsmanship. (B, L, D)


Day 13 – Lake Eyasi to Tarangire National Park

Choose your morning activity in Mto Wa Mbu village, either learning from a local fruit vendor or visiting a craftsman’s workshop. Continue to Tarangire National Park, known for baobab trees and large elephant herds, and enjoy an afternoon game drive. (B, L, D)


Day 14 – Tarangire National Park

A full day game drive offers final chances to spot wildlife, including over 500 bird species. This evening, gather for a farewell dinner to reflect on your African journey. (B, L, D)


Day 15 – Tarangire to Arusha

Return to Arusha. Relax in a dayroom before lunch and your onward flight home, carrying memories of Africa’s landscapes, wildlife, and shared experiences. (B, L)
