Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Your journey begins with friendly faces and easy travel as we head south through Kansas City and Columbia, arriving in the heart of downtown St. Louis. After settling into your comfortable hotel just steps from Laclede’s Landing, we’ll enjoy a warm and flavorful welcome dinner at one of the city’s locally loved restaurants. The evening is yours to explore or unwind at your leisure. (D)

Day 2

As we continue southward, you’ll see the landscape shift from prairie to bayou. Along the way, we’ll stop in Ste. Geneviève, Missouri—the oldest permanent European settlement in Missouri—to visit The Centre for French Colonial Life and the Bolduc House Museum. These sites offer fascinating insights into 18th-century French colonial culture and architecture. Tonight, we dine together in Jackson, Mississippi with a soulful Southern meal, and rest in style at a handpicked hotel. (B, D)

Day 3

It’s a day of Louisiana wonder! Enjoy lunch at Cajun Encounters, followed by a thrilling (yet safe) airboat swamp tour. Keep your eyes open for gators and local wildlife, and don’t miss the alligator park! Tonight, we cruise the Mississippi aboard the Steamboat Natchez while enjoying a classic New Orleans dinner set to live jazz. (B, L, D)

Day 4

Step back in time as we explore two of Louisiana’s most iconic plantations: Oak Alley, with its breathtaking canopy of live oaks and grand antebellum home, and Laura Plantation, known for its vibrant Creole history and powerful storytelling. With guided tours at both estates, guests will gain a deeper understanding of Southern life across generations. Along the way, enjoy scenic drives through sugarcane country and stop for photos beneath moss- draped trees. This evening, return to New Orleans and spend it your way—whether that’s relaxing at the hotel or enjoying optional live jazz and a casual dinner in the French Quarter. (B)

Day 5

Today is filled with unforgettable moments in one of America’s most culturally rich cities. Begin with a guided sightseeing tour through New Orleans' most iconic neighborhoods, including the charming Garden District with its historic mansions, the lively French Quarter, elegant Lafayette Square, and more. Then, visit Mardi Gras World, where you'll enjoy lunch and discover how the city’s dazzling parade floats are created. In the afternoon, explore the world-renowned National WWII Museum, a moving and immersive tribute to history with exhibits that bring the era to life. The evening is yours to relax or explore at your leisure. (B, L)

Day 6

After several exciting days in New Orleans, we begin our journey north, winding through Mississippi and Arkansas. Enjoy the relaxing comfort of our motorcoach as you reminisce about your favorite experiences and connections made. We'll make meaningful stops along the way and arrive in Little Rock in time to freshen up for a special farewell dinner with the group. This is the perfect moment to share laughs, swap stories, and toast to the memories made on this Southern adventure. (B, D)
